The Chemical Engineering Department of KNUST together with the Water Research Institute of CSIR and in partnership with the Danish Technical University have been awarded a 2 million USD DANIDA north-driven research grant to undertake a research and development program on seaweed biorefinery in Ghana.
They were selected out of 28 participating institutions worldwide. The principal investigator and coordinator for Ghana on the project is Dr. Moses Mensah (a Fellow of The Energy Center).
In partnership with the Vienna-based Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP), and the Energy Commission (EC) of Ghana, The Energy Centre (TEC) has organised a three-day residential Training Workshop for journalists in Ghana.
The training took place from 27 – 29 March 2014 in Accra.
The training is part of the project titled “Building a reliable energy access database to promote sustainable energy expansion in Ghana”.
The Energy Center in collaboration with ANSOLE is organizing a conference on Renewable Energy. ANSOLE is the African Network of Solar Energy (for more information, follow the link: http://www.ansole.org/).
The conference will take place from 25th to 26th April 2014 at The Energy Center, KNUST.
