Short project description:

The objective of the project is to develop “Energy Access” maps on the model of the “GEAR GIS toolkit” to help identify the gaps and cost effective technologies for improving energy access in the ECOWAS region

The Energy Centre, KNUST will undertake Activities in work package (WP) 5 “Develop Energy Access Maps”. The first part of the work will involve the Use ESRI’S ArcGIS Platform and Techniques to Access and Manipulate primary Data from ECOWAS member States. The next task will focus on Building Comprehensive Geo-Databases to Contain Map Datasets at National, Regional and Local Levels. This action will further develop layers from these maps which will be used to consolidate the ECOWREX GIS platform.

I think the Cape Verdean Ministry of Energy is a partner, right?

BTW, can you share the final document that went to EDULINK with me?

This money is small paa o! Less than 3% of the project budget. Anyway, let’s lookout for some of these skews in future projects.
